Quick Overview

I've been slaving away in the studio working on some cool stuff and this is the first pack to see the light of day from those sessions!

These are innovative ways to process "people" photos and are the result of years of experimenting with different styles. Portraits, kids, black and white, Martians underwater and all that stuff, maybe except for the last one, is catered for.

Trey's Lightroom Presets - People

I haven't released any presets in a year, so you know I've been slaving away in the studio working on some cool stuff! I've been working on innovative ways to process "people" photos, portraits, kids, humans in environments, Martians underwater, and all that stuff except for the last one for years. I've developed these 17 presets and now ready to release them to you.

They start with some generalized mild presets, including some of my most Basic commands including "Basic - Elseif" and the always classic-looking "Basic - Goto 10." And then it gets a little jaunty with the cross-processed "007 Pool Scene" and the sometimes naughty "Deep Fried Snickers."

There's also four black and white presets that all look quite different depending on the situation. There's "Silver Shine" and "Doggysmile," and you can choose either based one your style. Remember that the presets can also be starting points, and you can then further adjust things like Vignette, Noise Reduction, or Exposure at will, based on the needs of your photos.

And then, once you get the hang of things, you can start trying out crazy presets that go from the mildly cross-processed to the wantonly cross-dressed. You may be in the mood for "Captain Tightpants" or maybe having "Hottub Wine" to rid yourself of "Beachycrotch." Really, you can't go wrong with any of these. Well, except for "Glorious Donuthole" — don't click on that one.

How the Lightroom Presets Work

About Trey Ratcliff

Trey RatcliffTrey Ratcliff is a photographer, artist, writer and adventurer. Each day, Trey posts a new photo to his website StuckInCustoms.com, which receives over half a million monthly page views. Trey has over 10 million social media followers via , Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.

Trey is best known as a pioneer in HDR photography. Chris Anderson from TED called Trey a "pioneer of HDR photography." HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, a technique whereby multiple levels of light are captured for a particular scene and then combined into a single photograph. The resulting images are richly detailed and more closely resemble what you recall of the scene in your mind.

Trey's photo, Fourth on Lake Austin, was the first HDR photograph to hang in the Smithsonian. He has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOXand the BBC, and his photos have accumulated about 1 billion views. His best-selling book, "A World in HDR" sold out on Amazon in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Using a unique teaching style based on curiosity and discovery, Trey has taught hundreds of thousands of people the secrets to his photography techniques.

Trey grew up blind in one eye, which changed the way he has come to experience and visually map the world. This, combined with his degree in computer science and math, has shaped his unique, algorithm-like, approach to capturing a scene that evokes more palpable memories.

Trey is also a successful entrepreneur. His endeavors include popular iOS and Android apps such as 100CamerasIn1, Stuck On Earth and Photo Voyages. In addition he launched Flatbooks.com, which is a rapidly growing eBook publisher.
